Unable to go out during the day without alarming others, he walked at night, earning the nickname "Green Man" or "Charlie No-Face." Though often seen as a myth, Robinson was a real person, well-liked by his family and neighbors. He stopped walking in his later years and passed away in 1985 at age 74.
