Some criticized Aykroyd for dressing this way at Belushi’s funeral and thought it was disrespectful. I personally saw it as a nod to their friendship. Reply
I remember another shot of Ackroyd leading the procession with his face screwed up in sorrow. Like he was fighting back tears. Made a mark on me. Reply
I read recently that John Candy was best buds with Belushi as well, and spiraled into a deep funk for a while after his death, unable to work. But at least it made him eschew drugs afterward. Reply
