Speak for yourself. Never got close to earning one and was ridiculed by the elementary school PE teacher because of it. One of the only elementary teachers whose name I still remember.
I earned two of these in the early 70s. The situps were the hardest for me. Just barely eked out the required amount. My mom sewed them on my windbreaker.
I was a swimmer and got two of these, one in 6th and the other in 8th. One certificate was signed by Jimmy Carter and the other by Ronald Reagan. Wish I was even in half as good shape now!
We had these in the early late 80s early 90s

Got this exact patch in PE as a 5th grader in 2001, NJ.
I remember the tests but never gave a damn about scoring.
90’s, too. My certificates were signed by Schwarzenegger!!!!

I earned a few of these in 77/78. Was a great feeling. I remember being very proud of myself.

I got one of those in the late 80’s – how or why, I have no clue. It was when Arnold Schwarzenegger was in charge of the program, his name was on it.
