    Between Bell Labs and Xerox, those guys pretty much invented everything we use today !

  3. And because they worked for the Bell Stystem, their only compensation was probably a yearly bonus based on pay. In other words, Bell System profited, not them.

  5. UNIX. Brings back memories of all the different “flavors” of the OS. I used UNICOS and IRIX.

    So much easier to learn than VAX/VMS
    imo.
