36?
JFC what was he smoking? Meth?
cigarettes killed so many- at the end of his life he tried to make people aware of it….RIP
He shouldn’t be smoking, it’s unhealthy and therefore not logical
Source: @Adam_Nimoy on Twitter.
His parents weren’t aware of the Star Trek phenomenon? Highly illogical.
They never said anything about his haircut?
This is a brilliant photo in so many ways–vintage print with datestamp (wish I could see the complete framing). The way the shot is both composed, and cuts off dad’s arm. The other photo on the side table, flash in the mirror, comparison of son’s skinnier tie, the son’s oxford buttons compared to the decorations on mom’s blouse. It’s like a staged Vouge photo!
Came from a long line of Vulcan ears
The new Star Trek can’t figure out what Star Trek was all about either
Conspicuous cigarette.
Honest question…
We’re Leonard’s eyebrows naturally more narrow than most people’s? And if so, did the Star Trek show runners purposefully have anyone playing a Vulcan make them shave theirs to match?
I can smell this photo.
I wonder if they figured out what The ballad of Bilbo was all about?
Mom: Spock in drag
Takes after his mom. Has an eastern european look about him?
Saw this on my 36th birthday! Fun.
Was Spock Sr related to Groucho?
Looks more like 56
Goodness he looks old and so does his parents.
This is gold.
There’s a great video of him talking about growing up in Boston’s West End neighborhood and how when he was a kid three generations lived together. He spoke of it very fondly. It was a pretty cool watch.
Spock has entered the building.
He looks early 50s and his parents mid 70’s. I totally dig the period mad men look. Always logical.
I taught myself to raise one eyebrow because of Mr. Spock.
My husband was born in March 1967. And he’s a total Trekkie.
So weird to see people smoking cigies inside…
I remember holding back a bunch of obsessed fans harrassing Nimoy around 4am by Columbus Circle, NYC. I was coming out of work still in work mode and crowd control mode and a giant mob of drunk assholes were basically holding him hostage. Guy just wanted to go home. If you’re a fan and the person you admire is visibly miserable because of you, read the room.
He probably died that year or the year after.
At least he passed away respectfully and loved by all. Can’t say the same for George Takei who has been going online literally justifying the most recorded and documented genocide in human history. Hes going to die like Joan Rivers whose beautiful long career was ruined by one of her final public statements where she cheered on the 2014 massacre in Gaza where over 500 children were murdered.
Here’s to Leonard Nimoy. Cheers, old man. Thank you for your work, and for never letting me down.
