  1. She’s such a crooner. Her voice covered all types of music. I’m so sad about learning about her health issues. Her voice gets me every time. Desperado. Blue bayou. 😭

  3. what a legend, her recent words resonate

“For me it comes down to this: In Nogales and across the southern border, the Trump Administration systematically ripped apart migrant families seeking asylum. Family separation made orphans of thousands of little children and babies, and brutalized their desperate mothers and fathers. It remains a humanitarian catastrophe that Physicians for Human Rights said met the criteria for torture.”

  5. This photo was taken during the November, 1976 brief tour in England and Netherlands, in support of the recent release her Asylum LP of “Hasten Down The Wind.” This is shown in black and white, but the photo is sometimes seen in color, with Linda shown in an attractive blue and white shirt. Several of her shows have been posted online, and have also been bootlegged on audio from this tour.

During this period, Asylum released a 45 single of “Someone To Lay Down Beside Me” the Karla Bonoff composition, with the Patsy Clune cover of “Crazy,” as the flipside. The A-side only reached US Pop #42, but the B-side did well on Country radio and reached #6 on the Country charts.

  6. I’ve never thought of her as a folk singer. To be fair I don’t know that much abut her beyond her more popular songs and a well used poster of her that I had as a teenager. It was a good poster. She was in jeans and turned away from the camera a little so you had a nice shot of her ass and it was when she had the baby face cute thing going on. Oh man. I’m feeling a disturbance in the Force. Haven’t thought about that poster in a long long time.

  7. I’ve never heard Linda Ronstadt described as a folk singer. But you are right that she did.

Her duet with Aaron is still legendary. Maybe the best ever.

Edit: Now that I think of it, why has Aaron Neville gotten NO love on Reddit. I mean, what a voice. Up there with the best of the best.
