  1. It was a dull, grey world. Yeah, give it some green hair and a bit of attitude. This was my parent’s generation. The good ones may have lost the hair but never lost the attitude.

  3. They’d likely be in their late 60s or 70s today. I was 13 in 77. I remember the exact moment when I heard that Elvis had died. Right down to what I was wearing. I don’t remember much else from back then.

    I wonder how much of 50s nostalgia was happening in the 70s? It seems punk culture is deeply inspired by the first wave of rockers back in the 50s.
