You can guess why my friends always said, “Send ParkieDude to guy the beer.”
This is my 1974 sophomore photo (yes, high school). It shows a dress shirt made by my sister. I wish I had a better picture, but at 75, she is still sewing.
Can attest. Rarely wore socks with my runners. And often barefoot in class, when I took my pumas off for comfort after gym. Never showered after… played basketball in my jeans and no shirt. We all reaked of BO.
10 years before this in Minneapolis they all would have been suspended until they came back with haircuts, no facial hair, pants with cuffs, shirts with collars, dresses to the knees for the girls.
Accurate but in my school you couldn’t wear shorts, obviously you had to wear a shirt, and your hair couldn’t be over your ears or your collar. There were length minimums for girls’ skirts too. This was in a public high school in rural Texas.
– Super far left: Dude looks like a young Jeffrey Dahmer
– Center left in the back: Blonde dude with tank top ALSO looks like a young Jeffrey Dahmer but jacked
– Dude in the passenger seat of car looks like Ray Manzarek
This looks pretty much like how the boys dress at the school my 16-year-old daughter attends. Converse is still the choice of shoe for many kids at her school, and, while boys here tend to wear straight-leg jeans, most of them are in jeans and tshirts everyday.
Pants and shirts! Ah the memories
The extras from “Dazed and Confused”.

Yep, I remember it well.
Cool car
AC/DC used to have a lot more members.

A young Jemaine Clement on the extreme left of the photo. I knew that fucker wasn’t a Kiwi.
Lol I dress like that now
Jeans and flannel shirts. High as shit.
Normal shit.
One guy’s wearing his sisters cut offs.
Can confirm. I was there.
I do not see a patched pair of blue jeans anywhere. That’s all we wore in high school, but we were poor and all money went to drugs.
More interested in the car, that they are all scratching up.
I don’t know where this picture is but where I live more than half of everybody wore concert t-shirts
Dude walks around with a bowling ball or what

I think the teachers would have made that one guy put on a shirt
Wow, no one is obese
Looks about right. I had a 68 Firebird convertible then.
Spicoli, the prequel.

Yep, the clothes, and the hair. I remember those days very well
64 impala ragtop nice
If you were in the Midwest, a lot of flannel shirts and jeans in the late fall and winter months
Where’s the dude in the overalls? Not everyone is represented.
I remember pants

No shirt, no shoes, no problem?
Clothes?
Much better than the Jammie pants of today
And they all rode to school together in this car, too.
No brands, no logos, no decals or artwork. The loudest thing here is a gentle striped pattern.
These people are both simultaneously younger and older than me. It’s confusing.
Looks like Dazed and Confused casting
Notice how many of them are obese.
The headband thing wasn’t really that popular
Where your brown friends at? 🤣💀
Notice how none of them are morbidly obese either.
I can easily pick the top 3 dudes I’m going to for my stash

Huh? No chained wallets or big handled combs in back pocket?

Good bet the guy standing has some weed
Missing the obligatory dude wearing g a football jersey.
That’s a lot of denim, a lot of washed-out beige clothes, and skin…
Sitting and standing on the trunk door and not denting it…
