I loved the sound of the Turbo when it spooled up. This photo was taken when I was Stationed at Naval Air Station Pensacola Florida.

  1. Absolutely bitchin’ cars. Don’t see many around these days. From what I remember, the head gasket on those engines was a weak point.

  2. I used to detail these back in the day for a local Mits dealer. Loved driving them back & forth between the shop & the dealership. Very cool cars

  4. I had an 88. Bored out to a 3.0. Had aftermarket crank, pistons and rods, street head, CAI, 20G turbo, but couldn’t get an ignition to work with the mods. Sucked when I had to sell it.

  5. Jeez, I loved the Starion and the Conquest TSi. My best friend had one and left it with me when he went to basic training. I drove the shit out of that car that summer.

  6. had a friend who was a sheriffs deputy in san bernardino BITD – a county with a lot of open space.

    got into a pursuit – him in a 5.0, and a starion. and he lost.
